Teacher - Vinyasa
I started “doing” yoga on and off during High School. Stretches for school sports, not realizing at the time it was yoga. But I did know how great if felt for my body and how it helped settle my mind for the sport event ahead. Fast forward a few years to after college when I took my first formal Yoga class at East Meets West. It was there that I realized yoga was more than just stretch, bend and trying to force myself into poses that I wasn’t ready for. I finally had a yoga practice.
While I regularly stayed active it was during my time as a fitness competitor, I gained first hand understanding of how it feels to work with limited range of motion, to work around/recover from injuries, and I was led to my 200 hour teacher certification class with the Himalayan Institute.
I love working with people where they are to find their inner relief from stress with mind, body and breathe awareness. By welcoming movement back into my body with alignment, care and a new sense of purpose, I could feel how yoga changed me for the better and helped me to fit into my own skin. It’s the gift of yoga.
